Planting the Garden for the Safe House

“Mission With A Vision” is working to produce at least 40% of the food used at the safe house. Planting of beans, sorghum, millet, onions, kale, cabbages, spinach, green-grams, green-pepper, potatoes and watermelon has been completed with the help of the girls at the safe house and two farm workers.

We are growing crops on a five acre leased piece of land which is about 5 kilometers from the safe house and next to a permanent river. Water is pumped from the river into the farm to ensure we have food throughout the year.
